"The Road from Sick'ning Fear"
At last we have found a way, with Helen's help, to shift our individual accounts into a group account and get started on our Road2Recovery MMission adventure blog!!!
Welcome on board the journey :-)
To assist you on your way by a little catch up with our progress to date, please visit www.missionmiraculus.org.uk . This site will introduce you to each of us, MissionMiraculus' Vision and just a little more.
This blog will be severally contributed to - by any of us in the mood or inspiration to make an entry to keep you in touch with our progress and problems as we develop as a group toward a number of targets one of the most significant over the next year will be our 'Road2Recovery Show' which will be travelling to 5 'hotspots' in the West Midlands next summer.
An equally significant and integrally related goal of our work as a group is to monitor ourselves, as individuals and as a group in relation to our recovery from 'mental-emotional', social, economic and physical health challenges, set backs and sufferings in our lives.
We will be documenting our progress through this blog; on our website; through dvd and audio recordings and no doubt in other ways I can't remember off hand, or which we've yet to dream up. In due course we will be producing a film of our years work - the custard pie moments as well as the champagne flows...
We formed in February this year and were a bonded group by April. Since then we've built the website you're invited to visit above; applied (in August) for and been awarded an Open-Up grant to assist us in our development; brain stormed the vision for the R2R Show and drawn up an action plan for achieving our goals for it; and begun to develop the skills we shall need when we 'Stop the Road for a Show of Recovery' as we tour the west midlands.
Any good jugglers out there - get in touch if you'd like to do a turn at one of our stops :-)
Just now we're struggling with our lack of an office to have as our 'home' and are working to source a space for ourselves where we can gather to work together face to face: we live in a radius of over 15 miles from each other and have 2 cars between 7 of us and so it isn't an easy situation. However, we're fortunate in that we all have telephones and access to the internet and recently a huge proportion of our work is achieved via emails and quick calls.
What we aren't struggling with is morale. Forming this group has been like a great wave of sunshine in the weather for us all (I hope that's true and it's not just me - the rest of the band will hopefully respond on this one to let you know). When it comes to any index of 'hopefulness' we have severally leapt in our hearts in leaps and bounds, ditto any index of self worth - It seems already entirely fitting that we ended up agreeing on my oh so silly sounding name of MissionMiraculus for our band name - speaking for myself alone I must report that MissionMiraculus has already had a truly miraculus impact on my mental, emotional and physical health - Howzat?!!!!!!!!
Over and Out til next time,
Hugs, Janie&Hat ;-)

Hi Janie and Anita!
Thanks for letting everyone know about your fantastic initiative, it sounds like a great thing to be part of. It was good to meet you last month and we're all looking forward to seeing how you get on.
Keep us posted...
Really like the website! So
Really like the website! So much stuff on there, will definitely be checking back often. Great to hear about the positive effect the project is having on you already, looking forward to hearing more soon!
our website and your compliments
Thank you very much indeed for your kind words Terese :-) Daniel has been the web-builder with assistance from Anita and myself as an occasional soundboard - none of us has any professional background in web building and design and so it's proving a proper challenge! Daniel has really been the salt of the earth over the website and shown infinite patience with all the demands made on him. Meanwhile we're now firmly focussed on new friend who has appeared at CEIMH who is very much a man of MM qualities and happens to be professionally allied with IT skills and so - hey presto, we may be about to negotiate a further miracle for ourselves. I'm editing and writing most of the material with a lot of assistance and input by Anita, our group's essential and grounding earth spirit. She has been inspired to begin writing poetry of late and we shall be interested to see where this takes her.
I'll direct Daniel and Anita to your comment, it will please them as much as it pleases me :-) Fr Janie.
